1. Jufuku-ji Temple

Kannon-sama (The Bodhisattva of Compassion):

I have been awaiting your arrival.

I thank you for stepping into this sacred ground and humbling yourselves at my feet.

This is a place where many battles were once fought.

Numerous souls remain here, wandering and in deep suffering.

Please, I ask that you offer your compassionate intent to as many of these spirits as possible.

I humbly ask for your continued guidance and support.

Kannon-sama:

You have my gratitude.

Humanity has engaged in countless futile conflicts and meaningless pursuits. However, at long last, a new direction is beginning to emerge.

I look upon this with joy.

There are noble forebears among you who are destined to bridge the way to the future.

If you provide them with spiritual education, they will surely devote themselves even more fervently to securing that future.

I have received your spiritual intention.

I shall now fulfill my sacred role.

I will bring the exalted ones with me and participate in this spiritual journey.

I humbly ask for your continued presence.

(Thank you. We humbly ask for your guidance.)

(We humbly ask for your guidance. Thank you very much.)

(And now, Divine Kami-sama, this shall be our starting point. We humbly ask for your guidance.)

Kami-sama (The Divine):

Yes.

We shall now begin to move forward.

Thank you for your continued presence.

2. Tsurugaoka Hachimangu

Kami-sama (The Divine):

You have humbled yourselves at my feet.

I thank you.

The direction for bridging the future, while unraveling the karmic bonds, has been determined.

A magnificent flow has been established.

Many deities have gathered here.

Now, I ask you to fulfill your sacred role with the fullness of your spiritual intention.

(Thank you. We shall humbly reposition ourselves. We ask for your continued guidance.)

Kami-sama:

Yes.

I ask this of you.

Kami-sama:

The assembly is complete.

Behold what kind of place this truly is.

The intensity of human "omoi"—their desires and resolve—is formidable indeed.

It was from this very ground that the era of the samurai began.

Consider how many battles were fought, and how many people and how much of the earth were defiled.

Even now, the remnants of that power persist.

You shall now carry out your spiritual journey.

Kami-sama:

You have my gratitude.

I have been shown the vision of the future.

There is nothing left but to move toward it.

It is the world of humans alone that remains severely lacking.

You must do what you can to bring even a measure of alignment to the human realm.

Our realm is already decided.

The realm of the spirit-beings is also decided.

It is only you—the living—who remain.

Do you understand?

Bridge the future with a righteous spiritual intention.

Now, we shall move together. I trust this to you.

3. Shirahata Jinja Shrine

Kami-sama (The Divine): You have my gratitude. Hear me: humanity is in a constant state of error. The moment one places oneself at the forefront, seeking to be the greatest, one has already fallen into falsehood. Among humans, there is no rank. There is no hierarchy. A human is simply a human being; in this, everyone is the same. Do you understand? This truth shall remain unchanged for all eternity. No matter one's station, there is no discrimination among people. There is no rank. If you look upon the world after death, you will see that this is so. (Yes.) Bear this in mind. It was from this very land that the human world began its descent into conflict. This is the place where those struggles took form. Go now, and express your remorse.

Kami-sama: Thank you. I look upon this with joy. There are still those here who are worthy. I shall select those who possess the power to bridge the way forward. I shall honored to fulfill my sacred role. The deities and Kannon-sama, who are already prepared, have arrived. Please, give us your guidance.

Kannon-sama (The Bodhisattva of Compassion): I accept this sacred role. I desire for all souls to be guided.

Kami-sama: Yes. I appreciate your devotion. Listen well, you spirit-beings. You have but one precious opportunity. The inhabitants of this physical world shall guide you now. Do you understand? Proceed in that direction. We humbly ask for your guidance.

Kannon-sama: I accept this sacred role. I shall guide all beings. Please, lead the way.

4. Hokke-do Site / Before the Tomb of Minamoto no Yoritomo

Departed Spirit (Spirit-being): Thank you. Having you visit us in this manner only brings a profound sense of shame. Furthermore, we ourselves are filled with nothing but the deepest remorse. What kind of "justice" was it? What kind of "future" were we building? It is an undeniable fact that it all ended in error. I ask that you show us your spiritual intention. I wish to pour my strength in that direction. We have taken the lives of so many righteous people. I am truly sorry. We humbly ask for your guidance.

Departed Spirit: Thank you. It is truly as you say. I shall continue to learn. My purpose is to lead the many souls under my command and proceed toward the world of spiritual education—is that correct? I have received this joyous spiritual sentiment. Though it is with a sense of shame for my past, I shall humbly move forward in that direction. I will bring all my new vassals with me. We humbly ask for your continued support. This is the Great Lord, is it not? (Yes.) I shall draw close to the Great Lord’s side. Thank you for your presence. Great Lord, I thank you for calling upon me.

5. Zuisen-ji Temple

Kannon-sama (The Bodhisattva of Compassion): I have been awaiting your arrival. I appreciate your devotion to your sacred role. It is truly a noble duty you perform. Please, I ask that you offer the fullness of your spiritual intention.

Kannon-sama: You have my gratitude. I have received your noble spiritual intention. It is exactly as you say. Furthermore, I shall bring with me those spirits who are worthy of this path. I shall ensure that those of higher standing participate in this spiritual journey, so that they may move forward. I humbly ask for your continued presence.

6. Goryo Jinja Shrine

Kami-sama (The Divine): I appreciate your devotion. I have been awaiting your arrival. I am truly grateful. Now, please proceed as we change locations.

Kami-sama: You may now utilize this space to the fullest. Many deities and Kannon-sama have gathered here. We humbly ask for your continued presence.

Kami-sama: Thank you. If one lives with respect for the teachings of the Divine, there can be no conflict. Struggle exists only when viewed through the narrow lens of the human world—because of the existence of "power." Understand that such power holds no true value. Learn so that you may view the world with even greater equanimity. Live for the sake of growth. By doing so, what is truly important will naturally become clear. Only the spiritual intention remains.

Kami-sama: I appreciate your devotion. Now, let us move forward with our sacred role together. The deities and Kannon-sama, who are already prepared, have arrived. Please, give them your guidance.

Kannon-sama (The Bodhisattva of Compassion): I accept this sacred role. I desire for all souls to be guided.

Kami-sama: Well done. Listen well, you spirit-beings. I grant you this single, precious opportunity. It begins now. The inhabitants of this physical world shall guide you. You are to move only in that direction. Do you understand? Now, we humbly ask for your guidance.

Kannon-sama: I accept this sacred role. I shall guide all beings. Come, everyone, follow me.

7. Joju-in Temple

Kannon-sama (The Bodhisattva of Compassion): I thank you for coming to my feet. It is a magnificent sacred role you fulfill. So many Kannon-sama have gathered here. Please, proceed with your sacred duty.

Kannon-sama: You have my gratitude. I have been able to embrace the soulful yearnings of many. I shall be honored to fulfill my sacred role. Those who are destined for reincarnation, those who shall bridge the future—I will carry forth all who are worthy of such a path. I shall commit to my role by participating in this spiritual journey at all times, delivering these souls whenever called upon. I humbly ask for your continued presence.

8. Gokuraku-ji Temple

Kannon-sama (The Bodhisattva of Compassion): Yes. I have been awaiting your arrival. I appreciate your devotion. Behold the spirits of those who burned this land. The greater part of Kamakura was once razed by fire. Temple after temple fell to the flames. And yet, they have been rebuilt once more. So many souls perished in those fires. Please, I ask that you offer them your compassionate intent.

Kannon-sama: You have my gratitude. I shall select those who are ready to ascend to the spirit realm. Even within the vast cycle of reincarnation, I shall choose those among them who are exalted. I will participate in this spiritual journey at all times and bring forth those who are worthy. From this moment on, we shall move forward together. I humbly ask for your continued presence.

9. Koyurugi Jinja Shrine

Kami-sama (The Divine):

I have been awaiting your arrival.

I appreciate your devotion to your sacred role.

A magnificent flow has been established.

Such a vast number of deities have gathered here, and many Kannon-sama have also arrived.

I humbly ask for your continued presence.

Kami-sama:

You have my gratitude.

I have received your spiritual intention.

I shall be honored to fulfill my sacred role; however, before that, many deities and Kannon-sama stand ready.

Please, I ask for your guidance.

Kannon-sama (The Bodhisattva of Compassion):

I accept this sacred role.

I have gathered the souls together.

Behold, this many have assembled.

Please, lead them toward the light.

Kami-sama:

This is a blessing for you.

You spirit-beings are being granted an opportunity.

However, it is but a single chance.

It exists only in this very moment.

The inhabitants of this physical world shall guide you now.

Your opportunity lies only in that direction.

Now, we humbly ask for your guidance.

Kannon-sama:

Yes.

I have received this sacred role.

I shall lead every one of these souls, including the ancestors.

Come, all of you, follow me.

10. Honryu-ji Temple

Kannon-sama (The Bodhisattva of Compassion): I have been awaiting your arrival. I am filled with joy that these bonds are being unraveled once more. By receiving your spiritual intention, I, too, am empowered to fulfill my sacred role. I ask that you pour your heartfelt consideration into the deepest reaches of these souls. For many, another chance such as this may never come again. I humbly ask for your continued guidance and support.

Kannon-sama: You have my gratitude. You have offered your compassionate intent even to the unconnected souls. Among them, there are indeed those who can move forward and those who will bridge the future. What a relief it is. It was truly worth the wait. I shall be honored to fulfill my sacred role. I shall continue to accompany you on this spiritual journey to unearth as many souls as possible. I humbly ask for your continued presence.

11. Hogen-ji Temple

Kannon-sama (The Bodhisattva of Compassion): You have my gratitude. I have watched your arrival with joy, seeing the profound spiritual intention you carry within you. Yours is truly a noble sacred role. I thank you for moving forward in a direction that bridges the future. The preparations of the Divine are already complete, and so many Kannon-sama have gathered here. There is no greater devotion than this sacred duty. Please, fulfill your divine task.

Kannon-sama: Thank you. Indeed, there are those here who are worthy. There are spirits here of such noble stature it is almost overwhelming. I am filled with joy. I am able to carry them forth. First, the deities and Kannon-sama who stand ready have arrived. May I ask you to provide them with your guidance?

Kannon-sama: I accept this sacred role. I have selected them all. Behold, these are noble beings. I desire for them to be carried toward the light. I humbly ask for your continued support.

Kami-sama (The Divine): I appreciate your devotion. To the spirit-beings: an opportunity lies before you. Listen well. This is a chance that comes but once, and I grant it to you now. Follow the direction indicated by the inhabitants of this physical world. That direction alone is your path. Do you understand? Now, we humbly ask for your guidance.

Kannon-sama: I shall take them into my care. I will lead everyone now. Come, follow me.

Mihashira-no-Kami (Deity of the Sacred Pillar): It has been a joyful time to share in this sacred role together. I thank you most sincerely.
