1. Ōkaburaya Shrine
Kami-sama (the Divine)
We have received your greetings.
To be permitted to stand at the starting line, to be able to begin—comprehend the true meaning of this and live accordingly.
In all things, this marks the start of life anew.
It is the start of the time given to you today.
Consider how profound a significance this holds.
Make this your sacred study.
To be capable of a new beginning—once you pass away, you can begin no more.
For death is the final outcome.
Live in a way that truly grasps the meaning of every new beginning.
And consider with what profound devotion these prostrating spirits bow their heads.
It is all for the sake of their descendants.
Remember this well.
Now, enter into your spiritual practice.
Kami-sama (the Divine)
Thank you deeply.
It is well.
I reflect upon this constantly:
No matter how many times you visit, to receive your spiritual intention upon this sacred ground brings us immense joy.
And that these prostrating spirits are granted a precious opportunity brings us nothing but happiness.
In response to the spiritual intention shown today, we shall convey those spirits whose inner state is fit for this grace.
We shall urge them forward so they may advance toward spiritual elevation (mitama-age).
Today, as well, we shall move as one with you.
We humbly ask for your continued guidance and support.
2. Kanamata Shrine Haiden (Worship Hall)
Kami-sama (the Divine)
We have received your greetings.
Thank you for your noble labors.
We have been waiting for you.
It has been a long time—we are filled with joy.
Hear this well:
Always correct yourself.
Hold compassionate consideration for others.
Advance righteously, and live righteously.
If the one who leads at the forefront strays into error, everyone naturally wanders in the wrong direction without a single doubt.
Yet, there must be those who notice the misstep.
When you notice, always raise your voice to guide them.
Is that clear?
Never forget that to hold compassionate intent for others means precisely this:
Whenever you feel "Wait, something is amiss," you must speak up.
It is the exact same principle in daily life.
It is of vital importance that everyone corrects one another and advances righteously together.
Spiritual practice (gyou) is the untangling of karmic bonds.
To realize the errors committed out of self-interest, and to bow one's head in humble atonement—this is true spiritual practice.
Having been born as a human being, every single person ought to live in this manner.
Do not squander this precious opportunity to fulfill your sacred role.
Now, deliver your spiritual intention.
The heartfelt devotion of these prostrating spirits is grand indeed.
Kami-sama (the Divine)
Thank you deeply.
We have received a truly joyful spiritual intention.
Once again, the movements of the Divine Realm have shifted.
Amid these movements, we have been permitted to look upon today's vision of the future.
Let us seek out and awaken those spirits who are fit for this path.
We shall convey them forward.
We shall continue to fulfill our sacred role.
We shall participate in this spiritual practice and convey those noble souls who are worthy of bridging the future.
We humbly ask for your continued guidance and support.
3. Yamatsumi Shrine
Kami-sama (the Divine)
Thank you deeply.
We receive your spiritual intention.
Now, we humbly request your presence.
Kami-sama (the Divine)
Thank you deeply.
We have received a truly joyful spiritual intention.
We have been permitted to look upon the vision of the future.
We have been granted the invaluable opportunity to set many spirits into motion.
Here, in this place where noble souls rest in sleep, we shall once again fulfill our sacred role.
Many Kami have gathered here and received your pure spiritual intention.
All of us shall now move forward as one with you.
We humbly ask for your continued guidance and support.
*(Thank you deeply. To the Divine Kami, through this sacred ground, we were able once again to bridge the future. Thank you for allowing us to fulfill our sacred role.
Regarding the sweet hydrangea tea (Amacha) offered as a sacred service, please allow us to leave these two pairs in place. We humbly request that the blessed offerings from the Divine be shared with the departed spirits.
As for the remainder, we offer our prayers that it may bring spiritual purification through this soil as a memorial offering to the land, and that the future may be linked through it. We offer this with our deepest spiritual intention.
Thank you deeply.)*
4. Shōichii Inari Shrine
Kami-sama (the Divine)
We have been eagerly awaiting your arrival.
We are filled with immense joy.
This sacred place once received countless earnest prayers and devotion.
Yet, with the passage of human time, those spiritual intentions gradually faded away.
We were left with a profound sense of solitude.
That you have honored us in this manner today brings us unspeakable happiness.
Now, permit us to look upon your pure spiritual intention.
We humbly request your presence.
Kami-sama (the Divine)
Thank you deeply.
Precisely because we received your spiritual intention, we are able to awaken these spirits.
We shall convey those who are fit for this path.
While that process will take time, numerous Kami and Bodhisattvas of Compassion who are fully prepared have already gathered here.
Will you please provide your directions to them?
Kannon-sama (the Bodhisattva of Compassion)
We humbly accept this sacred duty.
Look upon how many spirits we have assembled; a vast host is gathered here.
Examine them closely and guide them without fail.
Kami-sama (the Divine)
Thank you deeply.
Thank you for your noble labors.
And to the departed spirits assembled here, hear this well:
You are now granted a single, precious opportunity.
From this moment, this guide from the physical world shall show you the way.
Follow in that direction alone.
Is that clear?
This chance shall never come again.
Remember this well.
Now, we humbly leave this in your hands.
Kannon-sama (the Bodhisattva of Compassion)
We humbly accept this sacred duty.
We shall convey all of these spirit-beings.
Come forward, one and all.
5. Kashima Shrine
Kami-sama (the Divine)
We have received your greetings.
Thank you for your noble labors.
This is a truly exalted and sacred mission.
Hear this well:
Human beings are granted a sacred role to fulfill.
Those who carry this mission must fulfill it to its ultimate completion.
Furthermore, having been born into human existence, every person must bear responsibility for their own self.
That is the true meaning of untangling karmic bonds (inga-kaishō).
Do you understand?
To make atonement by your own hands for the sins you yourself have committed—you are simply carrying out what is naturally required.
It pertains to your own karma.
Without even resolving your own karmic burdens, you must never act in selfish indulgence.
Bear firm responsibility for your own deeds.
This is what it means to untangle karmic bonds.
Carry out what is right as a matter of course.
Now, enter into your practice.
Kami-sama (the Divine)
Thank you deeply.
We have been permitted to look upon your spiritual intention.
Let us seek out and awaken noble souls, those who can bridge the future, and those who possess the true qualifications for this path.
We shall fulfill our sacred role—and with great joy.
We are deeply grateful to have been granted this opportunity to unearth such exalted spirits.
Thank you.
We shall advance as one with you in this sacred mission.
We humbly ask for your continued guidance and support.
Today, a great host of Kami have gathered here.
They have crossed even the boundaries of planets to be present.
From this moment forward, countless departed spirits shall surely be brought together.
O guides of the physical world:
Precisely because you possess physical form, these departed spirits are enabled to move forward.
Bear your sacred role with full responsibility and advance upon your path.
We humbly ask for your continued guidance and support.
6. Ōji Shrine
Kami-sama (the Divine)
Our joy knows no bounds.
Thank you deeply.
We are simply overwhelmed with happiness.
To have our divine presence recognized through your spiritual intention has brought us immense joy.
The Divine can do nothing but wait.
At long last, the time has come for those who possess righteous spiritual intention and carry a sacred role to step foot upon this ground.
We are so filled with joy—so deeply overjoyed.
Do you comprehend the vast length of time we have waited?
Can human beings truly wait?
Answer this regarding human growth:
How long can you wait for a person to grow?
A year?
Five years?
Ten years?
Or can you wait even a single day?
Examine your own heart and reflect upon this question.
The Divine can wait for thousands, even tens of thousands of years, because we know with absolute certainty that the appointed time will come.
We have looked forward to this single, fleeting moment with deep anticipation.
It brings us nothing but pure happiness.
This is the vast difference between the perspective of the Divine and the vision of human existence.
That is why, no matter how low humanity bows, and no matter what realizations people may reach, they remain in a realm where full comprehension is beyond them.
Yet, the Divine imparts these words:
Devote yourselves to spiritual refinement.
Live righteously.
Consider what profound meaning lies within these words and find the answer within yourself.
There is no guarantee that tomorrow will come after today.
There is no guarantee that a next moment will follow.
That is precisely why the way you have lived—what kind of life you have led—is of paramount importance.
Now, permit us to look upon your way of life and your spiritual intention.
Begin your practice.
Kami-sama (the Divine)
Thank you deeply.
We have observed with what profound spiritual intention you desire to untangle karmic bonds, as demonstrated by your arrival here.
And we have witnessed the depth of your devotion to bridging the future.
Though the intentions of the Divine Realm were already moving in an ordained direction, to receive pure spiritual intention from departed spirits prostrating through the physical world brings us the highest joy of all.
We shall gladly fulfill our sacred role.
Without fail, we shall awaken and convey those who can bridge the future and those whose inner state is fit for this grace.
From this moment forward, we shall move as one with you.
We humbly ask for your continued guidance and support.
7. Shiun-ji Temple / Ōji Shrine
Kami-sama (the Divine)
Thank you deeply.
Please, make use of this place and proceed forward.
Kami-sama (the Divine)
Thank you for your noble labors.
Now, begin your practice.
(Thank you deeply. We humbly request your presence.)
(Four Claps)
(Thank you deeply. We shall now begin.)
Kami-sama (the Divine)
Thank you deeply.
We shall gladly fulfill our sacred role.
Let us seek out and awaken those spirits whose inner state aligns with this path.
Look around—already, a vast host of Kami and Bodhisattvas of Compassion have gathered here.
We leave them in your hands.
Kannon-sama (the Bodhisattva of Compassion)
We humbly accept this sacred duty.
Guide all of these spirit-beings forward.
Kami-sama (the Divine)
How fortunate you are, spirits gathered here.
You must realize that you are still alive in spirit.
Do not forget this: you are alive.
Yet, you cannot remain as you are now.
Hear this well: from this moment, this guide from the physical world shall show you the way.
Only in that direction lies your opportunity.
It shall be granted a single time only.
Is that understood?
Now, we humbly leave this in your hands.
Kannon-sama (the Bodhisattva of Compassion)
We humbly accept this sacred duty.
We shall guide all of these spirit-beings.
Come forward, one and all.
8. Fukuju-ji Temple
Kannon-sama (the Bodhisattva of Compassion)
We have received your greetings.
We have been eagerly awaiting your arrival.
Do you retain in your memory how fierce a battlefield this land once was?
Do you comprehend with what profound sorrow and devotion these prostrating spirits bow their heads before you?
To you, they are ancestors, yet this site stands as the ground of conflict among kinsmen.
It is a place defined by strife between brethren—a prominent symbol of such tragedy.
Do you understand what it truly means for kin to wage war against one another?
It means that mutual hatred remains tangled and unbroken for eternity.
That you have come to realize this truth and formed a heart capable of atonement is a matter of great comfort.
Bow your heads with absolute sincerity.
Kannon-sama (the Bodhisattva of Compassion)
Thank you for your noble labors.
Human beings engage in senseless conflict as if it were natural.
It is an utterly hideous thing.
Remember this well:
To harbour resentment against others, to take life, or even to entertain such thoughts in the mind—this in itself is disgraceful.
Warm their souls.
Enfold them within your compassionate intent.
Become capable of offering that spirit of compassion to any being, without exception.
Otherwise, the future shall become a living hell.
If that comes to pass, true reincarnation and spiritual fulfillment (rinne-tensei) can never be realized.
Do not indulge in a careless, worldly existence.
Live a life without shame as a human being who holds compassionate consideration for others.
We shall fulfill our sacred role.
Let us seek out and awaken noble souls.
Let us unearth those who are destined to bridge the future.
We have received this sacred duty anew.
We shall continuously move forward as one with you.
We humbly ask for your continued guidance and support.
9. Morishiro Inari Shrine
Kami-sama (the Divine)
We have received your greetings.
Thank you for your noble labors.
Consider the Divine Realm.
Without the Divine Realm, there is no possibility whatsoever of your existence.
Life itself could never be passed down or linked together.
This planet itself is a living organism.
Have you ever looked upon existence with such an awareness?
You are beings of Earth—creatures that can survive nowhere else but upon this planet.
You are simply one single species among all living creatures.
Do you understand this?
Human beings are not the center of creation.
There exists the natural world, and the entirety of the natural world is the Realm of the Divine.
Within that world, life was given form.
Humanity exists merely as one form of life brought forth by the Divine.
It is an existence granted life by the Divine—never forget this.
And consider the purpose for which the Divine granted you life:
It is to live righteously as a human being.
Having committed human errors, one must offer sincere atonement.
That is the true untangling of karmic bonds (inga-kaishō).
Humanity died without taking responsibility for its own deeds, passing down unfulfilled karma through generations.
At long last, in this present lifetime, you have been granted the opportunity to bow your heads.
Do you live a daily life that reflects this humble bowing of the head?
This period of spiritual practice (gyou) is not the only time when you must bow your head.
To bow one's head means to live a daily life that itself is an embodiment of humility.
If you live without humility in your daily life, coming to spiritual practice alone accomplishes nothing.
If you live in a way that continuously creates negative karma, bowing your head only during spiritual practice is of no avail whatsoever.
Never forget this.
Grasp the true meaning of bowing your head.
Even if a human being bows their head ceaselessly, it is never enough.
Look upon the errors created by your own self—you masses of self-interest.
Offer your sincere atonement now.
Kami-sama (the Divine)
Thank you deeply.
To possess a heart capable of truly comprehending these truths is a wonderful thing.
We shall observe how deeply you interpret the words of the Divine and how faithfully you put them into practice.
And through your devotion to bridging the future, link it forward.
A noble spiritual intention to connect a glorious future cannot be fulfilled without the presence of the physical world.
Furthermore, we shall once again convey those spirits who are worthy of being reborn into such a future through reincarnation (rinne-tensei).
We shall joyfully fulfill our sacred role.
Thank you very much.
10. Hakusan Hime Shrine
Kami-sama (the Divine)
We have been eagerly awaiting your arrival.
This is a truly magnificent and sacred mission.
To be born as a human being and to be granted such an opportunity—how joyous this must be for those spirits.
For the departed spirits connected to this work, there could be no greater joy than this.
And for us who watch over them, it brings unspeakable happiness.
Now, please perform and fulfill your noble duty.
Kami-sama (the Divine)
Thank you deeply.
There exist sacred teachings.
To hold the words of the Divine as your sacred teachings—this path shall never bend, nor shall it ever stray into error.
However, misinterpreting or distorting the divine words is unacceptable.
To do so shall invite divine retribution.
Is that clear?
Become a person who can discern the words of the Divine with absolute truth, and live a life that embodies them.
Relying merely upon bookish knowledge or theoretical learning accomplishes nothing.
Having received these teachings, you must without fail put them into active practice in your way of life.
Is that understood?
There is no path other than this.
You have begun a life dedicated to making atonement for sins.
And you have been granted the opportunity to convey the words of the Divine so that all may learn together.
If so, you must understand the divine words together, correct one another’s errors whenever they arise, and demonstrate that righteous way of life through your actions.
We shall continue to watch over you with joyful anticipation as you do this.
We shall move as one with you.
The Kami and the Bodhisattvas of Compassion who have already set themselves into motion have gathered here.
Provide your directions to them.
Kami-sama (the Divine)
Look upon how many departed spirits we have assembled here.
Hear this well:
Examine them closely, and guide them forward.
11. Dōyama Ōji Shrine
Kami-sama (the Divine)
We have received your greetings.
It has been a long time.
It has been a long time since you last stepped foot upon this sacred ground.
And now, the Realm of the Divine has shifted.
The Realm of the Bodhisattvas of Compassion has likewise shifted.
That the Divine Realm should transform to such an extent signifies that the future world itself has been altered.
An unprecedented reality is unfolding.
The human world remains almost entirely unchanged.
The human world is beyond salvation.
Yet, even so, there are many who have laid down their very lives to bridge the future.
And precisely because they risked their lives to connect that future, the divine stream has reached its present course.
Welcome onto this sacred ground.
Our joy is boundless.
That you yourselves exist here, capable of bowing your heads in humility, serves as a great pillar of support.
Today, as well, permit us to look upon your spiritual intention.
We humbly request your presence.
Kami-sama (the Divine)
Thank you deeply.
It is humanity alone that commits errors.
No other living creature commits errors.
While they may take lives to survive, they never claim life beyond what is necessary.
Human beings, however, slaughter lives that need not be taken.
Even so, the Divine Realm pleaded for humanity to be spared.
If that is to be, we have now agreed to seek out those who are noble and truly worthy of such grace.
We shall unearth noble spirits and convey them forward—this we shall make our sacred role.
Now that it has been ordained that this planet shall become the central core of all creation, we shall gladly fulfill our sacred role toward that destiny.
Let us together bridge the future we envision.
That you have come onto this sacred ground today and offered your pure spiritual intention fills us with immense joy.
Let us unearth and restore the true, original way of life that the people of this nation once led.
Thank you for your noble labors.
12. Akiba Shrine
Kami-sama (the Divine)
We have received your greetings.
We have been eagerly awaiting your arrival.
This is a truly magnificent and sacred mission.
Do you comprehend what is taking place?
Look upon how many Kami have assembled here.
Within the human world, such a gathering is unimaginable.
Even within the Realm of the Divine, it is unprecedented.
This goes beyond the boundaries of a single world.
Crossing from beyond planets, such a host of Divine Beings has gathered here within the human realm.
It is a marvel beyond belief.
You have come here to fulfill your sacred duty while watched over by so many Divine Beings.
Moreover, that duty pertains almost entirely to your own karma (wagagoto).
Humanity left its deeds unresolved and abandoned.
At long last, in this precious time, you have been granted the opportunity to offer your sincere atonement for what was left unfinished.
The Divine Beings are watching over this moment.
Now, fulfill your sacred duty and bear your responsibility.
Kami-sama (the Divine)
Thank you deeply.
We have been permitted to look upon your spiritual intention.
Our joy is boundless to receive such a profound spiritual intention upon this sacred ground.
We shall gladly fulfill our sacred role.
Before that, the numerous Kami and Bodhisattvas of Compassion who have gathered here have already completed their preparations.
Please provide your directions to them.
Kannon-sama (the Bodhisattva of Compassion)
We humbly accept this sacred duty.
These are all the spirits we have selected.
We ask that you guide them forward.
Kami-sama (the Divine)
Thank you for your noble labors.
Spirits gathered here, hear this well:
From this moment, you are granted a single, precious opportunity.
This guide from the physical world shall show you the way.
Follow in that direction alone.
Is that clear?
Now, we humbly leave this in your hands.
Kannon-sama (the Bodhisattva of Compassion)
We humbly accept this sacred duty.
We shall guide all of these spirit-beings.
Come forward, one and all.
Kami-sama (the Divine)
Thank you for your noble labors.
Today, as well, a vast number of departed spirits and noble souls have been set into motion.
This signifies that you have successfully fulfilled your sacred role.
Furthermore, among them, it appears there were those whose karmic bonds (inga) were successfully untangled.
This is a noble outcome indeed.
So long as permission is granted and time remains, continue to participate and fulfill your own sacred role.
And to bridge the future, remain ever more humble hereafter, striving continuously with all your heart to elevate your spiritual self.
We have fulfilled our sacred role together with you during this blessed time.
Thank you deeply.
Thank you for your noble labors.
Kannon-sama (the Bodhisattva of Compassion)
We, too, are deeply grateful for this joyful time.
That so many watching spirits were enabled to move forward fills us with profound happiness.
Thank you deeply for allowing us to carry out our sacred role together with you today.
