Among all countries, Japan has the greatest number of deities. This speaks to how profoundly important this land is.

Why Religious Conflicts Occur Elsewhere

Conflicts caused by religion arise because there is no culture of ancestral veneration (kuyō) or the inclusive teachings of the Eight Million Kami.When people believe "my god is the only true god," they can come to harm others in the name of that belief.

But the teachings of the Yaoyorozu no Kami accept all beings and all paths, offering answers through the lens of white-circle thinking—the path of altruism and harmony.

This is why their way avoids conflict and sustains peace.

The Present Is Not a Given

What we experience now is not to be taken for granted. We are alive thanks to the virtue accumulated by our ancestors over countless generations.

We are here because our parents existed—because our ancestors lived before us.We were born into this land, allowed to live on this soil, because of the lives of those who came before us.

That is why it is so important to recognize the signs (spiritual messages) and to offer proper kuyō (spiritual offerings and gratitude) in response.
